Papa, please get the moon for me by Eric CarleWe always love all of Eric Carle's books and his lovely illustrations, but we especially enjoyed the many fun fold out pages in this classic. A little girl wants the moon, and her father sets out to get it for her with a "very long" ladder.
How to Catch a Star by Oliver JeffersThe playful watercolors in this book are full of bright colors and geometric shapes as a young star-lover tries different plans to catch on of his own. As the sun sets and the boy heads sadly home he looks down and finds...a starfish!
